1. Around the World with Donna Washington

2 P.M. | VIRTUAL

Donna Washington – an internationally known, award winning storyteller, artist and author – will share stories from around the world from the comfort of our own Milwaukee Public Library.

2. An Artful Reflection

6 P.M. | VIRTUAL

Join Della Wells – Milwaukee enthusiast, self-taught artist and founder of the artists’ advocacy group, ABEA (African American Artists Beginning to Educate Americans About American Art) – and Mutope J. Johnson – artist well known for depicting themes related to African American history and its influence on society – in a virtual conversation.

Thursday

3. Bronzeville Story Time

NOON | VIRTUAL

Join author Rayna Andrews in reading Alex McGreen and the Tale of the Mysterious Kale and author Nia Obotette in reading I Am a Triathlete.

4. Making Art with Adwoa

2 P.M. | VIRTUAL

This event will encourage attendees to turn trash into treasure by making art by using recyclable and accessible materials.

5. Artist Spotlight

4 P.M. | VIRTUAL

This event features Rosy Petri, a multidisciplinary artist form Milwaukee who uses her passions for social justice, creating and storytelling to dictate her art.

6. The Heartland Film Screening

6 P.M. | 325 W. WALNUT ST.

The Milwaukee youth Symphony Orchestra will feature a short film directed by Marquise Mays and about Milwaukee’s Black youth.

Friday

7. Cash Mob

2213 N. DR. MLK JR. DR.

Community members are encouraged to shop businesses in the Historic King Drive.

8. Luau Lullaby Community Baby Shower

4 P.M. | 2555 N. DR. MLK JR. DR.

At this event, you can expect to find COVID-19 safety kits, entertainment with special performances by comedian Marlin Hill and Mr. Jacki Caldwell, gifts and food. Available health services will include COVID-19 vaccines, lead testing, blood pressure and glucose testing.

9. Bronzeville Black Friday Music and Marketplace

5-10 P.M. | VEL R. PHILLIPS BETWEEN GARFIELD AVE. AND NORTH AVE.

Live entertainment, food and vendors will all be present at this event.

10. Pancakes and Poetry

This event will be hosted at Rise and Grind Café by Brit Nicole.

11. Bronzeville Ride

Grab your bike and get ready for a morning ride to celebrate Bronzeville Week.

12. Bronzeville Art Walk

NOON-5 P.M. | N. DR. MLK JR. DR.

From Locust to Walnut St., join community members in appreciating local art.
